The CQC inspection resulted in Aspen Grange achieving a remarkable ‘Good’ rating across all key areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. This accomplishment reflects the dedication of our passionate staff and our commitment to providing inclusive and person-centred care for all residents.
Aspen Grange Care Home is designed to offer nursing and residential care in a nurturing environment for up to 49 individuals. Our services extend to older people living with dementia and those with complex care requirements, ensuring that everyone receives the utmost support and attention.
In its report, the CQC emphasised the deep level of familiarity between the staff and residents, highlighting that “people received safe care from staff who knew them well.” This personalised approach empowers individuals to exercise maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff offering support in the least restrictive manner that respects their best interests. Our policies and systems further reinforce this inclusive practice, fostering a sense of autonomy and empowerment among our residents.
It was noted by the CQC that the management team at Aspen Grange provided exemplary leadership. Feedback from the inspection emphasised the effectiveness of our leadership and management, with particular commendation given to the systems in place to monitor, maintain, and improve the quality of our services. This recognition reinforces our commitment to constantly striving for excellence, ensuring that every resident at Aspen Grange receives the highest standard of care.
The rest of the team also received praise from the inspectors, with the report highlighting the kindness and compassion exhibited by our staff members.
Statements from relatives included heartwarming remarks such as “The staff are very good here,” “Despite being unable to speak, [person] always has a smile on their face, and I know they are happy” and “The staff are very kind and friendly to [person]. I am confident that [person] is happy here.” These testimonials highlight the deep level of care and empathy shown by our team, fostering a warm and supportive environment for all residents.
Our manager at Aspen Grange, Sharon Thompson, expressed immense pride in the entire team for their unwavering dedication and professionalism, saying: “I am so proud of the whole team who work diligently and professionally to ensure our residents are happy, safe, and supported to live their best lives.”
