Do the Things You Love

At Aspen Grange Care Home, we are passionate about you spending time doing the things you love. Our dedicated Activities Coordinator will take the time to understand your personal interests and needs, creating a varied programme to cater for all.

Our focus is to provide stimulating activities that help to improve your physical and mental health, promoting a meaningful and fulfilling life.

You will find a remarkable range of group activities at Aspen Grange including arts and crafts, baking, gardening, as well as live music and entertainment. You are also free to enjoy one-to-one activities when you prefer something quieter.

Keeping Yourself Active

To help improve mobility and to support your independence, we also hold regular gentle exercise sessions. These are designed to promote movement, coordination, balance, and above all else to be fun.

The sessions feature everything from music and dance, to catch, hula-hoops, and magnetic darts.

Oomph On Demand

We are proud to have partnered with Oomph!, the UK’s leading wellbeing business for older adults, to enhance the mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of our residents.

The Oomph On Demand digital activities platform provides our residents with access to interactive quizzes, virtual tours of world destinations, exercise and movement classes, and virtual entertainment at their leisure.

Discover New Things to Enjoy

We are more than happy to help you pursue your existing hobbies, but we also love to give you the opportunity to discover new things to enjoy.

As a care home, we have excellent links with community groups and organisations from the Braintree area. Many of these are regularly invited to give talks, demonstrations and performances for our residents.

Meet New Friends

Some of our most popular sessions involve visits from therapy animals. We have several charities and organisations that bring specially trained pets into our home to spend time with residents.

These pet therapy sessions give you the opportunity to bond with animals you are already fond of, and to meet some you may not have encountered before.
