Armistice Day is an important commemoration for many residents at Aspen Grange Care Home in Braintree. The year, the home was keen to not only mark the occasion with a 2-minute silence but also with some creative crafts and an afternoon tea.
In the days leading up to 11th November, residents enjoyed creating their own poppy wreaths, while team members placed poignant decorations around the home. The decorations included several stunning window displays with poppies, doves and silhouettes of soldiers.
After joining the national reflection to pay their respects, residents and team members at the care home in Braintree tucked into a delicious Remembrance-themed afternoon tea. With the dining room adorned with Union Jacks, beautifully decorated cupcakes, made by Chef Jackie, were served for all to enjoy.
