We’re proud that Aspen Grange has distinguished itself as the first care home in Essex to receive the esteemed Care Inspections UK (CiUK) certificate, setting a benchmark in the adult residential care sector. This accolade positions Aspen Grange at the forefront of adherence to the new British Standard for Adult Residential Care, reflecting its commitment to exemplary service provision.
The Rt Hon. James Cleverley MP recently visited the home to extend his congratulations to both the staff and residents on this significant milestone. His presence underscored the importance of the certification and highlighted the home’s dedication to achieving high standards of care.
This prestigious recognition followed a rigorous evaluation by CiUK, the sole accredited independent inspectorate for UK care homes. Aspen Grange successfully met all the stipulated criteria of the inspection, including the BS8606:2019 standard, which encompasses requirements for personal, nursing, and specialist dementia care within a residential environment.
Sharon Thompson, the Home Manager at Aspen Grange, shared her enthusiasm about the achievement: “We were all very proud to welcome the Home Secretary to Aspen Grange and show him our lovely home. Securing the CiUK certificate is a significant milestone for Aspen Grange. It is a testament to our commitment to excellence in providing top-tier care and support to our residents.”
Tony Stein, Chief Executive of Healthcare Management Solutions, which operates Aspen Grange on behalf of Opal Care, also commented on the certification: “This accolade is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team at Aspen Grange. It reinforces our mission to lead with excellence in the healthcare industry.”
Keri Hill, Inspection Manager for Care Inspections UK, added, “We are pleased to have worked with Aspen Grange, which has become among the first care facilities in the UK to achieve the CiUK inspection certificate. We are committed to supporting the sector to provide the very best standards of care possible.”
