Residents at Aspen Grange Care Home in Braintree have started Christmas in style with a day of elf-themed fun. On Friday 6th December, the Aspen Grange team joined residents to dress up as elves for the day to raise awareness for those living with dementia.
This is part of a national event organised by the Alzheimer’s Society known as ‘Elf Day’. Elf Day encourages people to brave the morning commute dressed up as elves to then take part in fundraising activities to help fund vital research.
At Aspen Grange, residents got to play a whole host of games including, ‘guess the name of the elf,’ and ‘how many sweets in the jar.’ A special thank you goes to Staff member Vanessa, who kindly spent time making elf-themed cakes for everyone to enjoy in return for a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society.
